The Write Along With D.G. Blog

The Remembering Site makes it easy to write your story, but you'll probably have some thoughts you'd like to share while working on it. I do: thoughts about writing, about life, and what catches my eye, my head, my heart throughout the day. I'm writing my story on the Site, also. You can read it at the “Featured Biographies” link at www.TheRememberingSite.org. Think of me as your writing partner. Let's write together!

68%

I read a statistic in my paper this morning that did not surprise me but made me proud.

According to sources from BusinessWeek, Fortune, Marketwatch.com, Playboy, The Washington Post and The Week, 68% of Americans see their lives as worthy of a book.
I see it as 100%, but I've been on it longer.

Everybody's life is worthy of a book. And here at TRS, we have the mechanism to make it easy for everybody to write, share and publish it the most beautiful form.

All you autobiographers out there, thinking and typing and dreaming away, so thrilled to be working together. Our ilk is tottering on the edge of critical mass. I feel like planting a flag.

We welcome all comers. We know you can do it. Your story is in you. We are here to help you get it out and onto the page.

Thanks for inviting me in sharing my story on “The Remembering Site”; typically, I'm a firm believer that less is more. But, not the case anymore as I’ve been writing my story non-stop since the summer. It’s tough for me to answer a single question in just one sentence. It’s like having your whole life’s story in your hands and you only have the time to give a fraction away! I started to see that education & talent didn’t matter so much as persistence, determination, and hard work. So many times, I felt that I reached the end of my rope and somehow, I just hung on, without having the strength to tie a knot in it for backup!

Most of my visions became clear when I looked into the heart of the matter. I spent my entire life trying to find myself; when I started to see over the past few months (...thanks to "The Remembering Site") that my life was all about creating myself into what I am today. I looked so down on myself many times that I didn’t achieve more in life; but, I guess it’s true that "No one is a failure if they have friends" - the angel from "It's a Wonderful Life".

Thanks for the inspiration and best of good luck to you!
